Thatis really an interesting fact, somethng that I will keep inmind the next time I go to the grocery store. Now, if you have that many boxes of cookies, it would be interesting how many cookies are actually in your truck - could you "dink" around with that and see if you can come up with a number for us. You should contact "Ford", they may be able to use that in their advertisement and give you a new truck!

Heidi, I just want you to know that if I lived closer to Anchorage, I would volunteer your mother to help you, but I would also do my part, you need an official "taster", I could sit there and watch you distribute the cookies, while I enjoyed a sampling of them, that way we could write a review and make sound, solid judgements on which cookies will sell the best. It would not take much time to do a market analysis on the cookies and then set up your cookie booths based on the demographics of the area. For instance, cookies that contain a lot of nuts would most sell better in a demographic area that is highly populated with demorcrats, a brief survey of the area and latest voting polls would indicate that this area would be the "hillside" area. If you need a complete demographic marketing analysis, please let me know, I can work it up from here on the computer but I will need forty assorted boxes of cookies to analyze.

Dad - There were 46,092 cookies in my truck. That is in consideration the quantity differences between the products.
We could use an official “taste tester” but along with it comes the job of explaining, teaching, conducting; just what demographic marketing analysis is - to 29 girls ranging from 8 to 12. If you come teach it would be worth the 40 boxes.

Bossco – LOL ….Good One.

Shana- I am not stressed this year….remember I learned to delegate. You always say I’m stresses out….why? I am doing good, just busy.
Also, I just might become the world’s oldest Girl Scout. The grandma’s leading their grand daughters troops are a real inspiration. In fact the lady that does ALL the cookies for the East side of Anchorage is a true role model for all girls and leaders, and she doesn’t even have a troop anymore. Oh yeah, I will be over tonight with the cookies “Homer” (Eric) bought. It will be $140.00.

Grandma J- I will have a sales rep call.

To all….while adding up the numbers my father requested…I thought I would let you know that the New Café’ Cookies is the best buy…50 cookie per box….the Samoa’s the worst at 14.

Also….while my pretty white short bed Chevy Silverado held 147 cases of cookies, that is, a friend’s big ugly full size Dodge and her Toyota Trooper only held 123. Now I am girl that can PACK!!

Didn't realize you drove a "Chevy", I thunk I learned you better - I took the same size measurements from the boxes of cookies I had left over from last year, in my "FORD", I had to "dink" around witht he numbers but after measuring four times, I could haul 3,201 boxes of cookies and still have room for "Dutch" to sit on top, the quantity could be increased if I took the shell off the bed, not bad for a short bed "Ford", but I also discovered that if I loaded just the short bread cookies, I could haul more short bread in my short bed. Just a thought to ponder!

Dad –
As a child, watching you go through a ford every 3 years, I learned NOT to buy one.
I did not stack the cookies my past the top of the bed, if I had I would have been able to haul twice as much …3528 boxes.

I also would like to say your numbers are wrong about the short bread. The “case boxes” of the shortbread and the café cookie are the same size and yet the café cookie has 20% more cookies then the trefoil.

You are so good with figures, just for my personal interest because I know that no one else cares, but could you compute the total weight of your truck load of cookies, I figured you must have been over the weight limits, although our highways are not restricted to weight limits at this time, break up is still in the future, but you may have been exceeding the weight limit of your truck with my grandchildren in the vehicle which is dangerous. Just as a side note to you "Chevy" lovers, on the news this morning there was a recall notice for unteen thousand Silverrado Chevrolets between the years of 1998 and 2001 - might want to check it out to see if it applies - something to do with cables, but I did not catch all of it to see if it was brake line cables, transmission cables, electronic cables, being a "dinker" when it comes to mechanics, I think it best to leave it up to the "dunkers" to investigate and have repaired. A "dinker" counts cookies, a "dunker" dunks cookies, hot Coffee with dunked Samoas are the best but when you "dunk", don't "dink" around, you have to submerge the coookie all the way in, sometimnes you loose half of it but they are also good when you get to the botton of the cup and can drink the "dunker".

Your grandchildren would not fit into the truck, that particular day seeing how the cab alone fit 50 cases, leaving myself a very comfortable amount of space. I would have been only risking my life, IF, weight were an issue, which of coarse it is not, seeing how my truck has been modified to carry extra amounts of weight, ensuring that we may carry our camper, which I assure you is a great deal heavier then than the cookies I have hauled.
As for the Chevy "recall", it is for tail-gait cables. As a proper owner of such a fine ride, I have already taken care of it.
And you being a dunker… you will like this one - ”All-Abouts” (short break with fudge) are awesome dunked in coffee for breakfast.
